Whew!

Well, once again I have allowed many months to pass. It has been a hard summer around here, I'm trying to get back to normal. Some knitting has been done, few pictures have been taken. I will try to finish up a few things and photo them and post them up. Meantime...I do have one bit of interesting news. This past Sunday was Youth Sunday at our church and my son was the "mystery speaker" for the evening service. I didn't even know about it! He did a great job, and his text was Daniel and Revelations. He spoke about the statue and the 4 headed beast. If our church gets a copy of it posted to their website, I'll edit to include a link. Have a good one!

Long time no blog!

As usual, it's been forever since I've posted. I've had a lot of things going on. I started a new job a few weeks ago. I was very nervous to take it because it was a pretty big shift from what I had been doing. But I was assured by several people close to me that I would do a good job. I've gone through my initial training phase, and am now just waiting to go out and shadow another trainer. Hopefully I'll be out doing my own implementations and training sessions before too long. I'm actually quite excited about the job, even with the traveling that is involved. I'll try to get some pictures up soon, knitting has been going slow.

Saturday, January 19, 2008

Ok, this is just a kind of quick test post. We got a new camera today, an Olympus 760. It is quite nice, and I should get better shots than the ones I've been doing by holding things up in front of my web-cam! So, a picture of my dog, Toby to start things out. He's cute, a Yorkie. I've had him for about 4 or 5 years now I think. He's spoiled, but not as much as my mother in law's dog is. That is one spoiled Yorkie!

Tylers "Man-Man" Hat

Here is a hat I'm knitting for a friends son. He's not quite 3 and loves Spiderman. I found this awesome hat pattern on Ravelry and am making the hat for him.

January Socks Done!

Here are my January socks. They are garter rib from Sensational Knitted Socks. I knit these in Cascade Quattro on size 4's. They are to wear with my motorcycle boots. I'm starting to worry that I knit them a little too short. We'll see.

In other news, today I found the blog of one funny woman. When I remember how to do it...I will put a link on my sidebar!

One sock done

Ok, so I joined the SAM5 on Ravelry. We're each knitting a pair of socks a month. This is sock one of my January pair. I'm embarassed to say they were started in September of 2007.

I've also noticed I'm posting pictures, but not a lot of words. I plan to do better about that as time goes on. I've been talking to some old friends from high school, and one has encouraged me to start writing more. I have been trying, and will perhaps get some of it posted here.

Project 365

Well, i missed a day, or two, but here is one for 1/5/08. This is my Evangeline gloves, from the online knitting site, Magknits. I love this pattern, and the yarn is so soft. I just started knitting them last night, so the next couple of days shot will probably be the progress pictures of them!

Project 365

Here is a picture of Urchin for Project 365. It didn't turn out quite big enough but it's cute all the same.

My last finished object of 2007

Here is my last finished object for 2007. A pair of Fetching for my friends daughter.
