I'm going to start selling some of my handmade items, so I will try to start posting those here as well as on Facebook, and possibly eventually on ETSY. I will be selling under the name Delilah's Fiber Arts & More, as it will be hand knit items, sewn items, and possibly some jewelry down the line. The name Delilah comes from when I had rabbits. I had sister rabbits, one named Delilah and one named Daphne. Delilah was fearless and outgoing, and I want to be seen that way as well.

So, yes, not posted in forever again. I'm currently looking for work, and making things in my (plenty of) spare time. I'm thinking of trying to sell some of it. But, much of that is sewing and not knitting, so I'm not sure if I should change the name of the blog, or if it matters. I will start trying to drive more traffic here if I start actually keeping up with it and updating regularly. I have made a skirt, and am working on another. As well as several small tote bags and multiple chapstick/lighter holders! I will add some photos in a couple days likely.

A contest!

Another blogger I follow is holding a contest, and I'd like to win something, so hey, go check her out! She's documenting her ongoing projects, and is doing a better job at it than I am! http://www.1billion2go.blogspot.com/

In other news, I have 2 baby sweaters nearly finished, one pink and one blue. They basically just need buttons. The grandbaby is due this weekend, but we don't know if it's a boy or a girl, so, I'm ready either way! LOL! Of course, this brings up stuff I didn't mention yet, my son got married this year, and they are expecting (obviously) my first grandchild! Well, second, she has a daughter who calls me Oma, which is sweet! I'll try to remember to post pictures of the sweaters in a day or two. I've finished a bunch of other stuff too, so maybe I'll just do a huge finished objects post soon!

Once again, far too many days, weeks, months have passed since writing. I've added some very funny blogs to my sidebar, check them out. We recently went on a motorcycle ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway. As soon as I download the pictures, I'll post some. Wee had a lot of fun, and the scenery was just breathtaking. I of course had knitting on the bike, but didn't actually knit on this trip at all! We stopped at the Craft Center, and there were the most amazing things there. I want to go back sometime soon. I'm going to have to make a day trip to Old Fort and visit the yarn shop there, and maybe hit the parkway just for a minute to see the alpacas at the alpaca farm. It's at mile marker 204, and is so much fun. They have a little shop, and the family is so nice and will take you to the barn to see any alpacas in that area. They keep the mother/babies up near the front, and they are always too cute. I'm really, really going to try to post more, not that I have much interesting to say. :-)

Whew!

Well, once again I have allowed many months to pass. It has been a hard summer around here, I'm trying to get back to normal. Some knitting has been done, few pictures have been taken. I will try to finish up a few things and photo them and post them up. Meantime...I do have one bit of interesting news. This past Sunday was Youth Sunday at our church and my son was the "mystery speaker" for the evening service. I didn't even know about it! He did a great job, and his text was Daniel and Revelations. He spoke about the statue and the 4 headed beast. If our church gets a copy of it posted to their website, I'll edit to include a link. Have a good one!

Long time no blog!

As usual, it's been forever since I've posted. I've had a lot of things going on. I started a new job a few weeks ago. I was very nervous to take it because it was a pretty big shift from what I had been doing. But I was assured by several people close to me that I would do a good job. I've gone through my initial training phase, and am now just waiting to go out and shadow another trainer. Hopefully I'll be out doing my own implementations and training sessions before too long. I'm actually quite excited about the job, even with the traveling that is involved. I'll try to get some pictures up soon, knitting has been going slow.
